Dr. Michelle Payton

Dr. Payton – an experiencer of a childhood household with alcohol, drug, mental and physical abuse, and parents divorcing at an early age – learned to read situations quickly enough to manifest positive outcomes over the long-term. Her life experiences resulted in a fascination with how people’s minds work and her eclectic (mainstream, metaphysical and holistic) studies then evolved over the past 25+ years around understanding core needs and the habits adopted to satisfy those needs.

“We co-explore inspiration points of why we move in particular directions, co-facilitate re-framing ideas connected to emotional duress (moving toward “zero” impact), co-discover memories of success to replace or collapse unproductive patterns, and interrupt anchored patterns connected to fears, phobias and pain to create calm,” Dr. Payton explains.

Dr. Payton’s specialties — practicing in the Asheville, North Carolina area — are Hypnosis (Doctor of Clinical Hypnosis and Ph.D. with concentration in Hypnosis / Hypnotherapy), Self-Hypnosis, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Acupressure Hypnosis (creating Emotional Balancing Points), Past Life Regression, Content (Writing) Coaching (oral story-sharing to paper). Dr. Payton also pulls from her Graduate studies work in English, Undergraduate degree in Communication Arts, experiences writing seven books, and assesses personalities using Astrology, Numerology, and Birth Order to more quickly tap into individual needs (See specifics at “Sessions”). Dr. Payton is a member of the National Board of Professional and Ethical Standards, has fulfilled mastery requirements for the Society of Neuro-Linguistic Programming™, and is an active member and founder of the Asheville Area Wholistic & Integrative Professionals.
